Booking Your Appointment
You can either book your appointment online or contact us to set up your initial consultation. Please see our COVID-19 Policy for any information for your records. If you have any questions regarding whether you should attend an in-person appointment, please get in touch prior to booking.
We will go through a detailed discussion of your problem, discussing any problems or symptoms you may have. You will then have a full Physiotherapy assessment, where we will not only look at the area concerned but the body as a whole! Together, we will discuss the best course of treatment to get you moving better, feeling better and staying better. We encourage you to be fully part of this process and ask any questions or concerns you may have throughout – this is about you, your needs and what will work best for you to get you on the road to recovery.
After your Physiotherapy appointment you will receive an email with all the exercises and advice we have gone through, so that you have a detailed plan to follow at home. We are always accessible via email or text, to help you get the most from your rehabilitation programme.

Your first consultation at Empower Physiotherapy & Pilates is all about getting to know you. We will ask you detailed questions about your symptoms and explore various lifestyle factors that may be involved – this enables us to treat the cause, not just the symptoms.

We may then look at how you move, how your muscles are working together, and look at some of the tasks that you may be finding difficult. There may be an element of undressing required in order to view the body part fully, therefore we encourage clients to bring comfortable clothing, such as vest top / shorts.

We will work with you to design a thorough treatment and rehabilitation programme that is bespoke to you. This may include a combination of exercise, manual therapy, acupuncture, soft tissue techniques or pilates, and are always complemented with a rehabilitation programme to follow at home, at work, on the beach… This is the important bit – this is what’s going to keep you moving better, with less pain, with confidence, in the long term.
