TMJ (jaw) pain
Jaw problems are incredibly common – not surprising considering the Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) is the most used joint in the human body!
Often you might experience jaw, head or ear pain, clicking, difficulty opening the mouth fully or feeling your bite is a bit ‘off’. It’s always good to see your Dentist first, however Physiotherapy is a low risk strategy that can help to reduce your pain and improve the function of your jaw.

First of all, we get to know you and how your symptoms are affecting you. We look are your body system as a whole, to see how other factors may be influencing your jaw pain or function.
Following your assessment, we put together a comprehensive rehab strategy. This may include hands on treatment, education and advice, posture modifications, strengthening and stretching exercises, activity modifications and a home exercise programme to follow.
Your TMJ is essential to everyday life – from chewing to talking to even breathing! It’s important we help you optimise it’s movement and reduce your pain, allowing you to move and feel better.
